Scientific and Methodological Seminar: “Biotechnological Approaches: Climate Stress and Productivity Improvement

On December 12, 2025, the Department of Chemistry and Biology held a scientific seminar entitled “Biotechnological Approaches: Climate Stress and Productivity Improvement.” The presentation was delivered by Senior Lecturer B.B. Asilbekova.
During the seminar, an effective pedagogical methodology for teaching this topic to students majoring in Biology, Agronomy, and Biotechnology was introduced. The presentation highlighted the role of biotechnological approaches in enhancing plant tolerance to climate stress, opportunities for improving productivity, and the specific features of teaching the subject through a modular learning structure.
The event was conducted in an interactive format, allowing participants to discuss climate stress factors, the practical application of biotechnological methods, and ways of developing students’ research competencies. All questions raised by the audience were thoroughly addressed.
The seminar concluded with a positive evaluation of the significance and effectiveness of the proposed teaching methodology in the educational process, as well as a discussion of its future implementation in academic programs.
