In connection with the public outreach event held on April 7, 2026, as part of the Cyber Surveillance project, coordinated by the City Prosecutor's Office, first- and second-year students from groups EP-25-9k1, EP-24-12k1, Pik24-5k3, Pik-24-7k1, Pik-24-7k2, and Pik-24-7k3 from the faculties of Preschool and Primary Education, Chemistry and Biology, Mathematics and Physics, and Pedagogy and Psychology actively participated in the event.
The "Cyber Surveillance" event, held on April 7, 2026, as part of the "Law and Order" program coordinated by the city prosecutor's office at the Shymkent Plaza shopping center, had a significant educational and developmental impact on students. During the event, students gained the following key insights:
1. Understanding the Importance of Cybersecurity
Students realized that the internet can be unsafe and that protecting personal data is extremely important.
2. Exploring Types of Internet Fraud
Students explored modern types of cybercrime, such as phishing, fake websites, and social media scams, using specific examples.
3. Acquiring Personal Information Protection Skills
Students learned security rules, such as creating passwords correctly, avoiding suspicious links, and not disclosing bank card information.
4. Understanding of legal liability
Understanding that cybercrime entails legal liability and that the consequences of breaking the law are serious.
5. Understanding the need to create a conscious digital culture
Believing that the correct and responsible use of the internet is the responsibility of every citizen.
Conclusion:
The "Cyber Surveillance" event was an effective educational initiative aimed at improving students' digital literacy, protecting them from online threats, fostering respect for the law, and increasing their sense of responsibility.
