A scientific and methodological seminar entitled "Artistic Features of the Development of Kazakh Prose during the Years of Independence" was conducted under the academic supervision of Zlikha Turarkyzy Zhantasova. The primary objective of the seminar was to analyze the ideological and artistic developments of Kazakh prose in the period of Independence, identify emerging literary trends, and examine effective approaches to integrating these developments into the educational process.
During the seminar, the thematic and artistic innovations of Kazakh prose in the Independence period were comprehensively examined. Particular attention was devoted to the analysis of works by contemporary Kazakh writers that address issues of historical consciousness, national identity, the relationship between the individual and society, and spiritual and moral values. In addition, the seminar explored stylistic innovations in post-Soviet literature, the transformation of narrative techniques, and the emergence of postmodern elements in contemporary Kazakh prose.
Zlikha Turarkyzy Zhantasova presented a periodization of the development of Kazakh prose, outlining its major stages of evolution, and emphasized the importance of analyzing literary texts within their historical and cultural context in the teaching of the literature of the Independence period. The seminar also offered methodological recommendations aimed at developing students' ability to conduct comprehensive literary analysis at the structural, ideological, artistic, and thematic levels rather than focusing solely on the content of a text.
One of the seminar's major strengths was its effective integration of theoretical concepts with practical application. Participants analyzed literary works through specific textual examples, thereby enhancing their skills in literary interpretation. The scientific discussions and exchange of ideas enabled participants to present well-reasoned arguments, demonstrating a high level of critical thinking and research competence.
