Tashenev University and Woosong University Kazakhstan Strengthen International Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence and IT Education

On June 18, 2026 Tashenev University hosted a meeting with representatives of Woosong University Kazakhstan, the first global IT campus of South Korean university in Kazakhstan delivering academic programs in English.

During the visit representatives of Woosong University Kazakhstan were introduced to the educational and research infrastructure of Tashenev University. The guests explored the facilities of Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and the innovative Tomorrow School platform, where students work on cutting-edge technology projects, develop digital competencies and gain practical experience in high-tech fields.

Woosong University (WSU) of South Korea located in Daejeon has been offering practice-oriented academic programs with a strong focus on foreign languages and advanced IT disciplines since its establishment in 1995.

During the meeting, Darina Bektanova, Coordinator of Woosong University Kazakhstan, presented activities of the campus in Turkistan, specifics of implementing educational programs in IT fields, and described the plans on expanding educational programs for the next academic year, which will provide students with additional learning opportunities.

The representatives of Woosong University Kazakhstan highly appreciated Tashenev University’s initiatives in advancing digital education and expressed their support for a proposed joint visit of Tashenev University students and faculty members to the Woosong University Kazakhstan campus in Turkistan.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare a Memorandum of Cooperation that will serve as a foundation for joint educational initiatives, including student and faculty exchange programs, collaborative research projects, and the development of new IT initiatives.

The partnership between Tashenev University and Woosong University Kazakhstan creates new opportunities for training highly qualified specialists in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital technologies. It also contributes to strengthening international academic ties and fostering development of innovative education in Kazakhstan.
