Scientific Seminar on the Language of Social Networks Held at the University

On May 5, 2026, a scientific and methodical seminar focusing on the issues of modern linguistics and communication was held in room 309 of the academic building located at 33 Ilyaev Street.

The keynote speaker of the event, Zh.Zh. Zhumagulova, delivered an extensive report titled "The Language of Social Networks as a Reflection of Modern Communicative Trends."

The following pressing issues were discussed during the seminar:

·       Transformation of linguistic norms in the virtual space;

·       New trends and word-formation processes in social networks;

·       The impact of modern communicative trends on youth language.

University professors, young scientists, and students actively participated in the seminar. The report was followed by a lively discussion among the participants, and an interactive Q&A session was organized.

At the end of the event, the participants emphasized the high relevance of the topic for today's society and expressed the need to hold such scientific gatherings more frequently.
