OPENING OF THE TASHENEV AI LAB ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE LABORATORY

On March 26, 2026, in Shymkent, the next-generation artificial intelligence laboratory Tashenev AI Lab was officially opened at Tashenev University.
Covering an area of 300 square meters, the laboratory is a modern ecosystem that integrates education and technology. This initiative responds to the pressing demands of the digital transformation era and provides students with opportunities for practice-oriented learning.
The event was attended by the Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dinara Shcheglova, who personally ознакомилась с деятельностью лаборатории.
“I specifically attended the opening of the Tashenev AI Lab and explored its capabilities. Initiatives like this provide a strong impetus for developing practical skills in higher education and for training competitive specialists in the field of artificial intelligence,” said Dinara Shcheglova.
The laboratory includes:
- humanoid robots and computer vision systems
- drone football and drone logistics
- holograms and AI agents
- Big Data and situational analytics center
- VR laboratory and AI tutor
- 3D prototyping center
“We are building not just a laboratory, but an ecosystem where students become creators of technology. Our main goal is to train specialists who meet the requirements of the digital economy,” said the Chairman of the Board of the University, Onalbay Ayashev.
Tashenev AI Lab is aimed at developing students’ skills in programming, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and engineering thinking.
