February 14 this year marks the 31st anniversary of the 10-year war in Afghanistan. The administration of Zhetysaysky district organized a gala evening for veterans of the Afghan war. Students of "Syrdariуa" University attended a meeting with veterans and took memorable photos.

On December 27, 2019, following a meeting of the Republican Competitive Commission, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Syrdaria University, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Abdurazova Perizat Adilbekovna was awarded the title of “Best University Teacher - 2019”.
