On December 13, 2017, on the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 20th anniversary of the University, was held a student conference on "Independence is my motto, the eternal country is my motto".
The purpose of the meeting, organized by the "Partners of the leader of the nation", consisting of students of the University, is to promote the value of Independence Day among students. The following students took part in the conference: Shamshi Gulsim, Zhuldyskhan Aygerim, Tursynkhan Aygerim, Kadir Sholpan, Galymbek Gulzhayna.

On December 13, 2017, the Youth Committee held a special meeting with experts to prevent religious movements.

The meeting was attended by the imam of the "Nugman" mosque, the head of the Youth Department for the Makhtaral district, the inspector of the Youth Resource Center, the religious theologian, the member of the ATS commission, the expert on the flow, consequences and impact on society.

At the end of the meeting, students received satisfactory answers from specialists in religion.

To familiarize with the principles of studying abroad, the International Scholarship "Bolashak" and the selection of candidates for the Bolashak program, a briefing was held for students and scientific and pedagogical personnel.

The vice-rector for scientific work Tazhekova Akmaral Zhaksybekovna explained the changes in the Bolashak program through a briefing plan, and also voiced the requirements of the Bolashak program and the ways of its transfer and changes in the new school year.
